College de Heemlanden is a school for havo and atheneum where ambition and commitment are central. With its broad range of challenging and contemporary education, the school offers many choices to students. Both the havo and the atheneum focus on Arts, Science, Business and Sports. Hans Vervloet, facility services coordinator, was looking for a special floor with a distinctive design to replace the standard Linoleum. Through the local newspaper, he ended up at EPI. Logical, because we are right around the corner from each other. De Heemlanden is less than 2 kilometers as the crow flies from our headquarters, production center and showroom.

Easy in maintenance

The EPI Ecobase cast floors are easy to maintain and applicable in any space. For the auditorium, corridors and a number of classrooms at College de Heemlanden the EPI Ecobase 600MP was chosen. “This floor is much easier to maintain than the Linoleum in the other areas,” says Hans Vervloet. Linoleum requires periodic major maintenance, which costs a lot of time and money. With a cast floor, this is not necessary.

Colorful and playful design

Another reason for choosing an EPI cast floor is the unprecedented design possibilities. Together with a stylist, College de Heemlanden created a unique design in which the corporate colors recur and which even incorporates ornaments. Hans Vervloet: “With our contemporary, well-furnished school building we also need a beautiful floor. The floor had to be colorful with a playful design and that worked out excellently!”
